Graduate Degree Programs
Graduate Field Work in Mine Reclamation

Our graduate programs are designed to produce specialists in their chosen area of study.  The Master of Engineering in Mining Engineering degree and the Graduate Certificate program are structured for those currently working in a mining or mining related industry. All courses offered in these options are available online. The Master of Science in Explosives Engineering is our newest program and the only explosives master degree available in the United States. The Master of Science in Mining Engineering offers classes on campus and includes the option of an emphasis area of specialization.

The PhD in Mining Engineering and the Doctorate in Mining Engineering degrees focus on the research aspects of mining. Since 2004, over $7 million in research grants have been awarded to the MS&T Mining Department. Students work closely with professors to develop new and exciting technologies for the mining industry at our research laboratories and through field research.
